Conciliation is an alternative dispute resolution mechanism that is foreseen within the Comprehensive Organic Criminal Code where both the victim and the processed subject can reach an agreement that contains reasonable and proportionate obligations with the damage caused and the offense committed. The conciliation may be submitted until before the conclusion of the tax investigation stage and is only applicable in the following cases:
1._ Crimes punishable by a maximum prison sentence of up to five years.
2._Traffic crimes that do not result in death.
3._Crimes against property whose amount does not exceed thirty unified basic wages of the worker.
